#2007 Motivating The Unmotivated:
Teaching Self-Discipline, Self-Control, And Personal Responsibility Through Multiple Intelligences

This workshop is designed to inform teachers and administrators about the inter-connections of learning/personality styles and emotional intelligence and how they affect motivation, comprehension, and the learning process.

The presentation stresses the necessity for good communication skills, skills which can empower a person to change from a "victim" mentality to a strong, take charge, responsible communicator.

Statistics on drop-out rates as they impact on particular personalities will be addressed. There will be an overview of how teachers' learning modalities can inhibit their reaching individual students.

There will be an overview of how teaching through the affective domain can turn at-risk populations into students with resilience and promise.
